The Fort, designed after Bent’s Fort in southeastern Colorado, does a fine job of recreating the fur trapping era of the nineteenth century. They have drinks & appetizers. If you wish to eat a meal while you are there, it behooves you to make a reservation. They can get pretty busy on weekends. The Fort does not have a bar area nor lounge except on weekends when it opens up a second bar in its courtyard. That is why this Renegade Happy Hour is being held on a Friday. We will meet in the courtyard and from there move to the rear patio if it is available. A door prize of two tickets to the Rendezvous at The Fort the weekend of September 21-22 will be awarded at 6:30.
The Fort is in the beautiful Red Rocks country. You are welcome to explore the grounds at The Fort, or you may wish to hike at Red Rocks Park before you meet your friends at Happy Hour. Just be aware that rattlesnakes like Red Rocks country too, to sun themselves on the rocks.
Notice: If you are a smoker, and you decide to order the mixed drink with gunpowder in it, you are advised to wait an hour before lighting up.
