Be a Judge for World Affairs Challenge (WAC)!

World Affairs Challenge (WAC) 3/4 and 3/11

The year is 2050. Global cities are now home to over 5 billion people - about the same number as inhabit the earth in 2016. How will these cities provide the resources and infrastructure required to sustain their population? This is a world that required Smart Cities.

Every year educators and other professionals get together to watch as the youth of Denver take on the questions that challenge our world during the Word Affairs Challenge (WAC). Judges watch and grade presentations done by teams and individuals from Middle Schools and High Schools. For 2017, the theme is focused on Smart Cities. Would you like to volunteer to be a judge?

If so, sign up to be a judge for the World Affairs Challenge!

From the WAC Website: Judges must be available to stay for the entire duration of the WAC event running 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You may choose to judge the Middle School Challenge on March 4th and/or the High School Challenge on March 11th. Both events take place at Regis University.

The judging criteria for WAC focuses on rewarding 21st Century Skills of critical thinkingproblem-solvingcollaborationcultural awareness and communication, all essential skills for tomorrow’s workers and leaders.

Sign up to judge here, and let them know you are with RPCVs of Colorado!
